The Affair ((Part 5))

Sonic stared at Lancelot with a worried look, Seeing the irritation on the darker hedgehog's face. "L-Lancelot... I'm sure he's okay..." Sonic began but Lancelot only laughed and shook his head.

"No... He's not okay, I know he's not okay." Lancelot snapped and gave a distressed sigh. He breath slowly to calm himself. "Look. I'm sorry about that little outburst Sonic... It's just I really need to find Galahad..." Lancelot looked up with a sad look.

"No no no, Don't apologize, It's normal" Sonic chuckled as he walked over to the older hedgehog. "I got your back no matter what, We'll find him and give that Gate Keeper a beating he has never gotten!" Sonic laughed loudly as he clapped his hands together, Smiling his normal cocky smile at Lancelot. Lancelot only sighed and shook his head.

"If you say so..." Lancelot looked at the blue hedgehog and sighed, holding his sword Arondight over his shoulder. Then the two fast hedgehog searched the village high and low for Galahad, but to Lancelot's dismay... His son was no where to be found.

"Curse it all to hell" Lancelot sadly sighed and looked over at Sonic who was looking in the houses that were still somewhat standing. Sonic sighed as he walked away from the house he was inside of.

"Well... He wasn't in there... BUT let's not give up hope okay Lancelot?" Sonic said slowly and felt his sword Cailburn jerk out of his grip and began to levitate near Sonic.

"I think I may know where Galahad may be you two" Cailburn began and sighed slightly as he watched the black hedgehog make his way towards him.

Galahad felt a cold sensation run over his legs and lower torso. He worried and sick to his stomach. His golden eyes stared up at the green reptilian eyes that was locked onto the gray, defenseless hedgehog.

"P-please let me go, I won't tell my father about y-your household... I'll even give you anything you want..." Galahad felt his heart race quickly, staring up at the the Deity.

"Heh... I'm afraid that's not an option Galahad..." The older one of the two chuckled slightly as he lifted Galahad's injured leg making the pale hedgehog whimper in pain. "You can't even move, You have to wait until your leg is better, but in the meantime, I'll take care of you." Galahad felt a slightly pop in his leg as The Gate Keeper slowly lowered his leg back down on the cot.

"B-but what about my father... H-he'll be looking for me...He even may send a search party for me" Galahad softly murmured as he felt his shoulders get pinned down.

"Then let your father search for you, he won't be able to find you anytime soon" Galahad's ears flattened hard against   his head as the criminal ran his hands over his legs and tail gently. His eyes stung with tears as he felt fear rush through his veins, but soon after a while Silver began to melt in the older one's arms, he felt strangely safe and at the same time scared of this crook... But he couldn't figure out why. He felt like he was keeping secrets... Like he knew much more than just the fact that he was Lancelot's son...But what was it?

After a few minutes the Gate Keeper slowly lowered Galahad down onto the cot, running his fingers through the quills of the injured hedgehog.  The younger hedgehog only looked up at the darker one, wondering why he was helping him. After a few minutes passed by, the pearl white hedgehog felt his eye lids come heavy as he stared up at the obsidian colored Deity.

"My My... You're tired aren't you? Weak due to the fact of the blood you lost... You need water and food to keep you healthy don't we?" His voice sounded as if he was teasing the poor, fragile hedgehog. "Tell you what... I'll go get you something to eat, You need it. But I may ask of you to do this for me" he paused to get the eye contact of the pale hedgehog. " Don't fall asleep... I may not be able to wake you afterwords if you do." Galahad's throat went dry as he stared up at the older of the two.

"W-what do you mean by that?!" Galahad's voice quavered with fear, already knowing the answer, But the Gate keeper only chuckled and left without saying a word. Galahad sat up, leaning on the cool rocky wall. He struggled to stay awake, and his eye lids became heavy. "Man..." Galahad whispered to himself, hoping his kidnapper to come back to help...

"No one has been there for years... What makes you think he's in Crystal Cave??" Lancelot gave a low grumble as he crossed his arms

"That's my point... He probably took him somewhere where no one could find them" Cailburn gave a small smirk and turned to Sonic. Sonic who gave a small shrugged and then gave a small chuckle.

"I see why not. It sounds like he could be there Lancelot" Sonic's grin widened slightly as he looked at the darker hedgehog, who was busy thinking, wrapped up in his own thoughts and worries.

"Fine... But I highly doubt he's actually there..." Lancelot sighed and lifted his sword over his shoulder, looking up at the sky. "It's about noon... We should hurry if we want to have enough daylight to search with..." Lancelot gave a small sigh and shook his head, but Sonic gave a cocky laugh and twisted his left arm around Lancelot's right and rolled his eyes.

"You must have Short-Term memory loss Lancelot, How many times do I have to tell you I'm the fastest thing alive, and nothing is faster than I am" Sonic then picked Cailburn up by the handle and ran forward, heading straight for Crystal Cave.

After maybe 30 minutes or so Sonic, Cailburn and Lancelot made it to Crystal Cave, Lancelot immediately went inside, not bothering with holding the door behind him for the blue hedgehog, who ran into it.

"O-ouch..." Sonic gave a grumble as he followed the dark hedgehog, who had pulled his visor down and held his sword high. Sonic noticed the older hedgehog was upset and worried, but tried to hide it.

"I am worried he won't be able to find him..." Lancelot felt his heart sink and he looked over at his King, but the trustful turquoise hedgehog only gave a smirk and pointed forward.

"You're so worried Lancelot, just calm down and relax. We will find him and he'll be safe in your arms, trust me" Sonic walked over to the darker hedgehog and gave him a small pat on the cheek to calm him. He actually wanted to kiss him, but due to the fact that Cailburn was here, that was out of the question.

"Alright Sonic...Whatever you say" Lancelot sighed slightly and began the search, the two spited up and looked in different places. Sonic looked in every tunnel, corner and dead in for the white hedgehog, Lancelot would call out his name now and then but no response. After several hours the King and Knight met back up  at the entrance. When Lancelot saw that Sonic came to him empty handed he gave a slight groan, he was upset due to the fact he couldn't find his son.

"If you want we can keep searching... We don't have to go back home..." Sonic sounded tired and his emerald eyes gazed over the dark hedgehog.

"No... We need to go home... I'll send out search parties everywhere... We need to find him, with more people looking... We can't possibly find him, just the two of us. It would take too long to find him" Lancelot sighed and walked to the broken down entrance to the abandoned caves. Sonic followed and slipped outside, sighing as he looked up at the breathtaking sky. Lancelot closed the entrance behind him and crossed is arms, worried.

"Well.. Let's get home, once we get there I'll send out the word everywhere and have EVERYONE look" Sonic held Lancelot's arm and ran to the castle, dodging traps and the random camps spread about the land. Once Sonic stopped in front of the castle gate it was surrounded by villagers, and  even Sonic's best knights.

"Woha whats going on?" Sonic looked at the villagers who looked frightened and worried.

"We were worried your Highness. You, Sir Lancelot, and Sir Galahad were out all day, we sent a party after you for back up and they came back saying you were gone." Sonic looked were the voice came from, it was Percival, She looked pale in the face but she was calm. Gawain  stood next to her and sighed slightly.

"It's okay... We're okay, We went looking for Galahad... " Lancelot began and held back is anger as he crossed his arms.

"Is he okay?" Gawain  stepped forward but Sonic held a hand up to stop him.

"Sadly we couldn't find him anywhere... Tomorrow I'll send out a search party, I'm hoping we can find him soon.." Sonic's emerald like eyes gazed over the villagers who all stared at the blue hedgehog, wanting more information....
